Eaze announces an accelerator, offering $50k to build cannabis businesses

Eaze is a cannabis delivery service - the group delivers CBD to 48 states in the US, and cannabis to cities in California, from Oakland to San Diego. The company has just announced that its expanding its services with a new business accelerator called Momentum, which will start out by offering ten grants of $50,000 each to small cannabis-related business owners looking to grow. In addition to the funding, participants in the program will also get a 10-week expertise course, access to Eaze’s legal, marketing, and analytics teams and investors, and Eaze says that participants could even get a spot on the marketplace itself.

The program is designed to support businesses that are already operating (so if all you have is an idea, there’s some work to do), and the committee that’s selecting participants is specifically looking for to support people from disadvantaged communities, in order to “help build a diverse industry that addresses the War on Drugs and supports small businesses in becoming more profitable and sustainable.”

It sounds like an excellent program, and hopefully it will succeed at finding businesses that could really use a boost. If you have a business and want to apply, you can do so on Eaze’s website right now.
