Arizona Iced Tea is planning cannabis-infused drinks

There are a number of food brands already waiting to include CBD and THC in their products, and here’s one more. Arizona Iced Tea has announced it’s planning to team up with a cannabis company to release cannabis products.

But there’s a wrinkle, and it’s that instead of starting with teas and lemonade (the products that the brand is known for), the plan will start with vape pens and gummies. The Arizona Beverage Company is joining forces with a Colorado-based cannabis company called Dixie Elixirs, and rather than just bringing cannabis to the food brand, it sounds like they also want to bring the food brands to cannabis. You might see some Arizona-flavored gummies or branded vape pens on dispensary shelves soon.

Obviously, one of the things that makes a deal like this tough is that it’s currently not legal to ship cannabis products over state lines (because cannabis is still illegal on the federal level in the US). But Dixie has a solution: They’re going to make these products in each individual state, and then sell them through dispensaries in each legal state. The company does already have THC-infused mints in flavors like orange and cucumber melon, so mimicking a tea flavor probably isn’t an issue for them.

We don’t exactly know if we want vape pens flavored like Arizona Iced Tea, but we’ll keep an eye out for them anyway. Hopefully, it won’t be long before we see THC and CBD-infused products right there on the shelf at the convenience store (right next to, you know, the 40 oz beers and six-packs already there).
