Edie Parker is spinning off a cannabis brand
Edie Parker is a luxury handbag brand designed by a lady named Brett Heyman, and she’s just announced a new spinoff brand called Edie Parker Flower, all centered on cannabis. But while most luxury cannabis brands might be described as sleek or understated, Edie Parker Flower focuses on the fun (and femininity) of the cannabis experience. She’s got some gorgeous pastel fruit-themed pipes, some really colorful rolling papers, and probably our favorite, this one-of-a-kind (if a little expensive — it’s $450) tabletop lighter.
This is such a great take on cannabis and the culture — it’s colorful and fun, rather than being the usual sleek and black, or all clear glass and tan. The brand also includes a few strains, courtesy of the excellent Flow Kana, with initial flavors also being fruit-centric: Cherry Cheesecake, Pineapple Rising, and Banana Jam. If you’re in Northern California, you can find them at a dispensary near you (and given Flow Kana’s success, you might see them elsewhere as well).
Even if you’re not usually a handbag buyer, some of these pieces are really cool, and might make great gifts as well. And best of all, it’s great to see an artist like Heyman put her own spin on cannabis, and produce something that’s a little different from what you’d usually see in brands targeted at this audience. As the industry gets more popular and mainstream, hopefully we’ll see more variety and experimentation around cannabis products like this.
