The Freeze Pipe serves up your bowl nice and chilly
Here’s an inventive product: The FresheTech site is offering something called the Freeze Pipe, which is a glass bowl pipe with an extra feature between the bowl and the pipe itself. There’s a little coil chamber in the smoke path that’s surrounded by a container full of glycerine. The idea is that you keep the pipe in the freezer, and when you pull it out to smoke, the frozen glycerine lowers the temperature of the smoke, providing you a cool, smooth hit.
Does it work? It makes sense that the hit would be cooler, but there’s no filter here, so whatever you’re smoking is what you’re smoking. There is one other cool feature, though: The bowl of the Freeze Pipe is actually removable, so unlike one-pieces where you usually have to bang them against the side of a table to clear them out, you can actually take the bowl off here and clean it separately.
And if you prefer the sounds and sensations of a bubbler, there’s also a Freeze Pipe attached to a bubbler as well. It seems like a cool product for sure, and even if the frozen glycerine doesn’t make a huge difference (dear FresheTech, we’d a pipe for a formal review!), this is definitely a one-of-a-kind piece to have. You can pick up the Freeze Pipe on sale right now for around $60, while the bubbler is around $80. It’s a cool idea — literally!
