Cali cannabis company has donated a million meals to food banks, one per product sold

Bloom Farms is a California-based cannabis company selling all kinds of different products from vape carts to hand rolls, and they are running on a very generous premise: for each product sold, they're donating one meal to a California state food bank. The company just announced that it has now donated one million meals across the state. CEO Michael Ray says that he was struck by the fact that one-in-five children in California don't have regular access to food, and so in addition to selling their products, the company now also helps out those in need.

Bloom Farms apparently also gives its employees four hours of paid time per month to spend on volunteering, and much of that time is used on helping out at food banks. That's awesome -- getting high is great, but it's even better when it can help out those in need. Next time we're at the dispensary, we'll keep an eye out for Bloom Farms products and hopefully keep the food donations rolling.
