What's Good on Weed this Weekend: Muse returns, with The Grinch
After yet another long week (seems like there’s a lot of them lately — hopefully the holidays will slow things down a bit soon), we’ve finally reached the weekend. Here’s hoping you have something fun planned, and if not, we’ve got you covered with some suggestions for things to do while you’re a little stoned this weekend.
First and foremost, this week the brand new Muse album drops. Simulation Theory is out now, and it’s great. The rockers from Devon have brought their epic signature style back and brought with it some synthy additions and some extra intensity. This is an album we’ve been waiting a while for, and it’s going to be on repeat around the office here, accompanied with some nice indica to make it really flow together.
On television, there’s a brand new season of The Great British Baking Show on Netflix, giving you the perfect excuse to stay in and binge all weekend long. You do have to be careful with the munchies while watching — seeing all of that great, delicious food can be too much temptation sometimes! If it’s too much temptation, there’s also a new season of House of Cards to watch (it’s the final one, without any Kevin Spacey in it), and The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is supposed to be really good too, though a little scary, so be careful with your sativa and paranoia.
At the movies, The Grinch is back, this time in animated form and voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch. The movie doesn’t look that great, but if you’re already ready for Christmas and just want some fluff to watch after maybe taking an edible, it might do you right. Bohemian Rhapsody, the Queen biopic, is also out now, and The Girl in the Spider’s Web (the followup to David Fincher’s great The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) is also showing. Actually, we heard that last one isn’t too great, so maybe just go find The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo on video and enjoy that.
And if you’re in California this weekend, please be careful! High winds have got a lot of wildfires going, and especially in Northern California, there are some dangerous blazes going around that are moving quickly. If you get an evacuation notice get out of there. Everyone else, enjoy your weekend and as always, stay safe (and stoned). Thanks for reading!
