What's Good on Weed this Weekend: Bumping Mics, Pokemon, and more
We’ve survived to another Friday! Because of the Thanksgiving holiday last week, there isn’t too much new stuff out there (and you might be partied out already, depending on what you did with your holiday), but just in case you’re on the hunt for something fun to do while stoned this weekend, here’s your weekly guide to a few fun events and releases.
There’s not much new to see at the movies, but Ralph Breaks the Internet is well worth a watch, and colorful enough to keep you entertained even when you’re a little lifted. Dog Days just arrived on DVD as well, so if you missed that cute canine-lovin flick when it was in the theaters, now’s your chance to check it out. Yes, it’s a little cheesy, but it’s also touching and funny, too.
In the world of video games, the new Pokemon titles are where it’s at. Pokemon Let’s Go Eevee is available on the Switch, and yeah Pikachu has a version also but that little yellow rat has had enough of the spotlight in our opinion. On the PS4, Darksiders III has just arrived, but it’s not supposed to be very good at all, so instead, go back and play Darksiders I or II — they’re both pretty excellent spins on the Zelda formula of wandering from dungeon to dungeon, solving puzzles and killing monsters to earn gear and loot.
On Netflix, there’s plenty to watch and catch up on. If you haven’t seen The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina yet, it’s very good, or if you’re in the mood for something a little less spooky, The Dragon Prince is an excellent piece of animation by the folks who created Avatar: The Last Airbender. If you watched through that series, you’ll know that it’s not just for kids: There are some goofy moments, but the story is actually very mature and the characters are very well-drawn. And speaking of well-drawn characters, Dave Attell and Jeff Ross have teamed up to make a comedy special series called Bumping Mics, available now. It’s very funny, and it’s a joy to just sit in the room with two comedy veterans who are in it just for the joy of making people laugh. Roll yourself a great hybrid joint and spend some time with these two jokesters who clearly have been at this for a while.
No matter what, definitely enjoy your weekend, and feel free to take some time and recover from the holiday chaos, the traveling, or whatever else you were up to this week. Christmas is on its way, so make the most of this calm before the inevitable holiday storm. Have a safe and happy weekend, and we’ll see you next week!
