What's Good on Weed this Weekend: Red Dead Redemption 2, more

It’s Friday once again, and that means it’s time for your weekly roundup of things that might be fun to do, hear, and see, while you’re a little stoned this weekend. We haven’t done one of these in a while, so if you like seeing it return, g’head and click over to the comment box and let us know!

First and foremost, today marks the long-awaited release date of a little video game called Red Dead Redemption 2, and it’s going to be a good one. Developer Rockstar is the king of open world games, and this latest title, set at a time when the Wild West was becoming a lot less wild, has garnered a phenomenal 97 score over on Metacritic. Red Dead 2 offers an unparalleled immersive world to wander around in, and man, is there anything more fun than getting high and just exploring a world? There might not be!

At the box office, First Man is supposed to be really good — it’s the latest movie from Damien Chazelle, the wunderkind behind La La Land and Whiplash. Bad Times at the El Royale is still playing also, but don’t read the previews before you see it. It’s best consumed with both a little cannabis and without any pre-conceived notions about where it might twist and turn as it goes along.

In the world of music, Robyn’s new album Honey is out now, and it’s well worth a listen, especially if you’ve got some great ganja to include with it. The great band Cake also has a new single out, and while that won’t take much time to listen to, it does probably mean there’s a new album on the way. Cake!

And finally, Halloween is coming up next week, and this Saturday is the de facto day to party. Get yourself a costume of some kind (maybe grab some weed and just declare yourself Canadian), head out to a party, and enjoy some cannabis with friends before doing some apple bobbing and dancing to the Monster Mash. As always, be safe and enjoy yourself — don’t drive while drunk or high! Have a great weekend, and we’ll see you back here next week!
